Architecture Updates April 22 28 2012

The Louvre Pyramid, ParisLast week we celebrated the birthdays of three prolific architects—Frederick Law Olmsted, Bertram Goodhue, and I.M. Pei. Their lifespans overlapped and so did their styles. Is it my imagination, or does that pyramid shape used by Pei at the Louvre look a lot like the pyramid top of Goodhue's Public Library in Los Angeles?
