Both the house style and the animal are native to the Bengal area of southern Asia, between India and Myanmar (Burma). Bungalow literally means Bengalese. This week, check out Bungalow pictures submitted by our readers. A house in the Bengal style was low and sturdy, built to withstand the seasonally violent monsoons and cyclones of the area. The tigers evolved to be pretty tough, too.
