Birthday Presents for FLW

What we receive for our birthdays isn't always what we want. Born on June 8, 1867, Frank Lloyd Wright is getting a gift he probably never envisioned -- a brand new app. The media company Planet Architecture has added Wright's famous Fallingwater house to their lineup of architecture apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Is this what Wright really would have wanted for his birthday?

In 1932 Wright wrote:

"I went alone into the deserted working rooms with time to reflect a little. Looking about over the drafting boards I wondered what, at the moment, would please me most. The most pleasurable thing I could image was that I might go into some shop where fine colored pencils were kept and gather several of every color I had ever seen and perhaps see some never seen before. Perhaps a more gorgeous red, a truer blue, a warmer green. And I would lay them all out in a row, abuse the white paper on the board at which I sat; and sit looking at them, several of each and every possible color. Enough to use and last sometime, for once. I suppose the recent scarcity of some of the most desirable colors, because we use those most and can't buy more at the moment, led up to this organic desire. But I love colored pencils. They are intimately associated with my sense of happiness, and have been since childhood."

Colored pencils or applications for your mobile device -- which would you choose?
